AGV K6-S Product Description

The AGV K6-S is the latest helmet in the sport-touring line from AGV. This helmet is the successor to the AGV K6 and is approved according to the new ECE 22.06 certification. This full-face helmet from AGV is, according to AGV, the lightest helmet available in this segment and suitable for any rider.

Before we look at the results of the Road-Test, first some general points. The AGV K6-S has an oval fit, a double d closure and will compete with other helmets such as the Shoei GT Air 2, Shark Spartan GT Pro Carbon, LS2 Challenger Carbon, Arai Profile-V, Scorpion EXO-1400 EVO Carbon, Shoei NXR 2 and the HJC RPHA 71

Material

The AGV K6 is made of a combination of Carbon and Aramid. This has resulted in a very strong but also extremely light carbon helmet.

In addition, the helmet is available in 6 sizes and in 4 outer shell sizes. This is a very good result because the more outer shell sizes a helmet has the better. A motorcycle helmet with more outer shell sizes not only looks better and more compact but is also safer. The weight of a helmet is important because a lighter helmet improves your riding experience. When we weighed the helmet in a size M the scale indicated 1298 grams.

Visor

The visor of the K6-S has a large and wide field of view and is an optical class 1 visor. In addition, the visor is anti-scratch treated and Pinlock lens prepared. The Pinlock lens is included in the box and is a 120 max Vision Pinlock lens. A Pinlock Lens ensures that your visor will not condense while riding.

It is also possible to fix the visor in two different ways; completely closed and in a cracked position which is nice for just a little more airflow. Changing the visor is also quite easy thanks to a Quick Release Mechanism.

Comfort

The inner lining is removable, washable and antibacterial. The lining consists of a mix of Ritmo and Shalimar in specific areas. The neck roll is Ritmo, while the cheek pads are a mix of Ritmo and Shalimar. The upper part of the lining is also made of the material Shalimar

The AGV K6-S is certified according to the new ECE 22.06 certification which becomes mandatory for all manufacturers. The helmet is prepared for an AGV Ark communication system and has an Emergency Quick Release which is an important safety option. This ensures that the helmet can be safely removed in case of an emergency. The helmet also has 5 Multi-Density EPS Inner Shell in 4 different sizes which is a big plus.
