The SHARK S-Drak 2 is a stylish retro helmet with a cool appearance, perfect for the custom/naked bike rider. This is Shark’s new version of the already iconic Shark S-Drak with its aggressive, urban style.

Despite the face mask, this helmet is a jet helmet and the mask is removable using a new locking and unlocking system from Shark. The main focus for this helmet will be on its style. This helmet is ECE 22.05 certified as an open face helmet and not a full face helmet. Material

The SHARK S-Drak 2’s outer shell is made out of multiaxial fiberglass, meaning that is made up of alternately aligned layers of unidirectional glass fibers. This supports the helmet to achieve a lighter weight, weighing in at about 1330 gr for a size L with its attachments on.

It also comes in 2 shell sizes for optimal proportional fit, which is a pretty standard feature for this end of the open face helmet market. Furthermore, it comes in with a micro lock buckle system which eases adjustment of the straps when operated with gloves on.

Ventilation

The S-Drak 2 has little ventilation holes on the face mask which allows air to come in the rest of the helmet. These vents is covered by a fine mesh to keep debris out. Of course, if more ventilation is required, there is always the option of removing the face mask entirely to achieve a open face helmet. However, this helmet does not come with any adjustable vents on the crown.

Visor

The S-Drak 2 comes with a lightly tinted integrated anti-condense drop down visor that can be easily removed without tools. Since it is lightly tinted, it can be used both during the day or night, or if you’d like a different color visor you can always purchase it and change it. It has a quick visor release system, making it very easy to attach and detach.

The mask itself can be removed by pushing the two buttons on each side of the helmets, and to put them on again the face mask has a very easy click to it, thus making the process very simple. The visor does not come pin lock prepared, however it is anti-fog coated and anti-scratch already.

Comfort

The S-Drak 2 comes with a high-end suede lining fabric with a peach skin feel, ensuring a comfortable fit for the rider. The interior is removable, washable, and features an “EasyFit” system, which promises optimal comfort for riders wearing glasses as it has thinner cushion layers at the temples area for where the glasses go.

As for communication preparedness, this helmet is Bluetooth ready and is equipped with slots for the Bluetooth speakers. The helmet can be used with the Sharktooth Prime®-intercom system.
