Scorpion Covert-FX Product Description

The Scorpion Covert-FX from the brand Scorpion is the successor to the already popular Scorpion Covert X.

The new Covert-FX helmet from Scorpion looks extremely similar to its predecessor but already has one big difference, and that is that the new Covert-FX is a full-face helmet. This means that you can no longer detach the chin bar from the helmet and turn it into open face helmet. In addition, the Covert-FX also meets the new strict ECE 22.06 certification.

The Covert-FX is available in sizes XS up to and XXL and has a retail price of about 250 euros or 250 US Dollar. Because of this price and the fact that it is a streetfighter helmet, it will compete with the Shark S-Drak 2, Shark Street Drak, Scorpion EXO Combat 2 and the Bell Broozer.

Material

The Scorpion Covert-FX is a fiberglass helmet. Fiberglass is an excellent material that absorbs the energy during impact, bending, cracking and disintegrating.

In addition, it has 2 outer shell sizes (XS-L & XL – XXL).

When we weighed the helmet in a size M the scale indicated 1342 Grams which is a great result, a lighter helmet gives a nicer riding experience and prevents fatigue in the neck.

Visor

The visor of the Covert-FX is anti-scratch treated and has a Pinlock Max-Vision lens that is included in the box. This Pinlock ensures that your visor never fogs up while riding.

In addition, a free dark smoke visor is also included in the box which is a big plus

Ventilation

The Covert-FX has vents on the chin that you can open and close with a slider on the inside of the helmet. In addition, on the top of the helmet there is a top vent that you can open and close by using a small slider. All the warm air in the helmet can escape through the spoiler on the back of the helmet.

Comfort

The Covert-FX has a Kwikwick 3 inner lining. This inner lining is removable, washable and moisture wicking, keeping you cool and dry on the hot summer days.

The Covert-FX has speaker pockets. This is a cutout in the EPS shell where you can place the speakers of your communication system.

In addition, the helmet has Kwikfit pads. These are special pads in the helmet that allow you to easily put on and take off your glasses. And the helmet also has a Quick release, which is a nice safety feature.
