The Schuberth E2 is the new off-road Adventure helmet from the German manufacturer. It is the successor of the Schubert E1 and has the double P/J certification and the new 22.06 certification. The E2 has is an on- and off-road helmet thanks to is removable peak. The helmet is improved on the safety, aerodynamics, and noise.

This helmet is very versatile since you can use it as an off-road helmet, full-face helmet, open-face helmet, and a modular helmet. Therefore, it will compete with the Shoei Hornet ADV, Klim Krios Pro, Arai Tour X4, AGV-AX9 and Scorpion ADF 9000

Material

The E2 has a fiberglass shell that is made by Schuberth’s Direct Fiber Processing Technology. This has resulted in a very strong fiberglass helmet that has been reinforced with Carbon Fiber for an even better shock absorption, creating an even lighter helmet.

The adventure helmet is available in 6 sizes and only 2 outer shell sizes. 2 outer shell sizes are not the best amount of shell sizes a helmet can have, as its competitors mainly have 3 shell sizes. The more shell sizes, the better since a more compact helmet not only looks better but also is safer.

Visor

Schuberth has paid a lot of attention to the visor mechanism. For example, Schuberth’s Memory Function. When your visor is open and you open the chin bar, the visor will remain in the same position once you close the chin bar.

The visor is also Pinlock Lens prepared which is included in the box. A Pinlock Lens prevents your visor from fogging up.

The E2 has an integrated sun visor that is anti-scratch treated and protects the eyes from the sun. The integrated sun visor can be controlled with a slider on the left side of the helmet (when wearing). It is possible to change the maximum opening position with a limiter.

Ventilation

Schuberth adjusted the ventilation system. It has, for example, a new chin bar vent. This is a double air intake that keeps out the dirt and mud and helps to prevent the visor from fogging up. It is also possible to change the chin vent filter which is washable.

The E2 also has a new top vent system with a bigger spoiler to let out all the hot air. This is done to keep your head cool and to keep the air flow going even in the most challenging conditions.

Comfort

The inner lining of the Schuberth E2 is removable, washable, seamless, has a quick dry function and is anti-bacterial. It is now possible to change the inner lining thanks Schuberth’s Individual Program. This program offers customers to customize the crown liner and cheek pads for an even better fit.

The Schuberth E2 also has Schuberth’s Anti-Roll-Off-System, which is connected to the chinstrap. The E2 has a micro metric closure. The chinstrap has a new position compared to the E1 that ensures a more comfortable fit around the throat.

The helmet has been wind tunnel tested which has resulted in a more aerodynamic and slim design. It is possible to put the peak in 3 different positions and to remove the peak completely.

The helmet is also prepared for a Plug and Play communication system based on Sena 50S communication system with speakers, Mesh, FM Radio, and Bluetooth preinstalled in the helmet.
