With the Revit Territory Jacket, this Dutch gear manufacturer are once again bringing us another off road and adventure option. Revit have zeroed in on this segment with their latest gear collection, particularly with the new Revit Sand 4 set.
The Rev’It Territory will be a jacket option for off road riders who are also looking to ride in the summer since we’re looking at a fully ventilated chest, back, and arms, with abrasion resistant inserts on the abrasion zones. The jacket will also be coming in two colors: a dark green and mid-grey.
So, with a recommended retail price of about 190 Euros or 230 USD, the Territory will be competing with the Klim Traverse and the Alpinestars Venture-R Jacket.
Material
For material, the Rev’It! Territory Motorcycle Jacket is composed of PWR Shell Mesh, which is found in the chest, on the inside of the arms, and along the length of the back. This is Revit’s own special mesh material, which is also made to be abrasion resistant and light weight. For added durability, the jacket also features 750D Cordura ripstop in the shoulders, along the entire outside length of the arm, and on either side of the waist.
For more comfort as well, we’re also getting PWR Shell Ripstop Stretch fabric in the back of the shoulders. You can also find a strong level of reflectivity with panels by the collar, in the back of the arm, and down the back. Lastly, the jacket has been prEN 17092 certified to Class A, which means that it is built for a light weight and flexibility with some abrasion resistance.
Safety
For safety, the Revit Territory Adventure Jacket includes Revit’s CE Level 1 SEESMART protectors at the shoulders and elbows. These are going to be a good set of protectors for off road riding since they are very flexible and breathe nicely as well.
If you want added coverage you can also remove the armor and use an armored shirt such as the Revit Proteus underneath. Lastly, you are getting a set of loops in the sleeves, that will help with making sure that your armor stays in place.
Comfort
For comfort, the Revit Territory Dual Sport Jacket will also do very well since it has been very well thought out. Once again, for airflow you are getting that large amount of ventilating mesh throughout and you are getting some stylistic perforations in the reinforcement areas around the collar to help bring a bit more air in. Though there is no adjustability, you will get a good bit of stretch in the back of the shoulders. Not to mention the stretch inserts in the cuffs and thumb straps.
For storage, you are getting two zippered hand warmer pockets up front, a small chest pocket, and in back you have another rabbit pouch.
Lastly, the jacket will fasten with a central zipper down the front, and you are getting a cover tab at the top to prevent chafing. Inside, the jacket features a mesh liner, which will also make sure that you don’t lose out on any air flowing through the jacket.
Summary
The Revit Territory Jacket is a solid entry for the summer trail riding segment. It does deliver on that ventilation as well as bringing abrasion resistance and a nice overall set of features.
