Revit Link GTX BOOTS
The Revit Link GTX motorcycle boots from Revit are waterproof motorcycle boots for the touring rider. Whether you go touring in nice weather, in bad weather or you ride every day of the year then the Link GTX motorcycle boots are definitely something for you!
They are high leather motorcycle boots that are made to keep your feet ventilated during the hot days and dry during the rainy days. The motorcycle boots are CE certified which we will go into more detail about later in this video.
Material
The Link GTX motorcycle boots from Revit are made of full grain leather with a Gore-Tex Membrane. Full Grain Leather is a very strong leather that is very durable, has a dense fiber structure and has the advantage that it becomes more beautiful the more you use it.
This material can be found almost all over the shoe except on the back, the ankle and on the front of the shoe. Here we used microfibers that make the shoe a little more flexible.
The leather can be a bit robust but offers good comfort and more than enough flexibility. And thanks to the microfibers, the shoe is slightly more user-friendly. The sole of the Link GTX motorcycle boots are made of rubber which provides enough grip on the motorcycle and when walking.
Protection
The Link GTX motorcycle boots are tested according to the EN 13634 certification. If we look at the certification we see that it gets the highest rating for the height of the motorcycle boot, for the resistance to abrasion, resistance to cutting and the transverse stiffness (2-2-2-2). The transverse stiffness means how much resistance the boot offers to crushing if you get stuck under the bike. And the motorcycle boot is WR approved which means that it is waterproof.
There are reinforcements placed at the toes, the heel and the ankle. And Revit also placed an extra reinforcement on the side of the boot for just a little bit more protection.
Comfort
Revit’s motorcycle boots have a waterproof and breathable interior which means your feet will stay dry and cool during your rides on the motorcycle. For cooling during the hot days, there are perforated sections on the boot that provide just a little extra cooling should the need arise.
On the motorcycle boots is also a shifting pad placed that ensures that the shoes are not damaged by the shifter.
To put on the boots you need to open a large Velcro strap with underneath a YKK zipper. The zipper has a Velcro attachment so it will not open accidentally while riding. In the Link GTX motorcycle boots from Revit, an OrthoLite insole is placed which provides comfort on the motorcycle but also for daily use.
