The Nolan N80-8 is a sport touring helmet from the brand Nolan, this helmet is created with bold and modern design in mind. The N80-8 is a Full-face helmet that is perfect to use as a sports touring helmet thanks to its integrated sun visor. In addition, the helmet is 22.06 certified and, according to Nolan, it’s a very modern helmet where they thought about every little detail. You can compare this helmet to the AGV K3, HJC i70, Scorpion 520 EVO, Shark Spartan RS, Scorpion EXO-491, Nolan N60-6 and the Shark Skwal 2.2.

Material

We will start with the shell, the Nolan N80-8 is made of multiple layers of Polycarbonate. This will give us a decent helmet with a weighs of 1636 grams in the size M. Also the helmet is available in 7 different sizes, 2 outer shell sizes and a wide range of colors and designs.

Ventilation

The N80-8 uses what Nolan calls AirBooster Technology. This means that the helmet is cooled through the top ventilation. In addition, the helmet has a chin ventilation that you can open and close with a slider. Hot air can then escape through the back of the helmet.

Visor

The Nolan N80-8 has an ultrawide visor. This means that the visor gives you a wide field of view, which is excellent. The helmet is also Pinlock prepared and the lens is included in the box. The Pinlock will ensure that your visor never fogs up while riding.

Also, this helmet has a Drop-down sun-visor and is UV resistant. Moreover, the helmet features a visor mechanism with tilting functionality. This ensures that the Pinlock lens covers a larger area.

Interior

The inside of the helmet is padded with eco-friendly laser-cut foam, this ensures a nice fit. This is then covered with linen which are also washable. All materials that are used are breathable and made of hypoallergenic material.

First of all, the helmet is 22.06 certified which is mandatory from this year onwards. The helmet also has speaker pockets and is prepared for the Nolan’s N-COM communication system. This also uses an ESS system.
